Our family vacation to Cancun

Last year our kids decided that they really wanted to go on a cruise for a family vacation. We told the kids that if they each saved up  the money needed, that we could go! The kids eagerly started working to earn money and saving. We looked online with the kids, researching the best cruises and the best prices.  After months and months of research, we decided that instead of a cruise, we would go to an all inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico. The saving continued until the kids had saved enough money. We got on the phone and booked our vacation. The kids have been so excited and could hardly wait for the day we would get on the plane and fly to Cancun. We had to get passports for all six of the kids (very expensive) and we had to wait to get Annie's until after her adoption was final and we had her new social security number... her passport was very stressful and we only ended up getting her passport DAYS before we were set to leave! Yikes!!
We arrived in Cancun where I was immediately sick with food poisoning on our second day there. Aspen and Cami and Travis all got sick as well during our trip. It was horrible!  We did get to spend a lot of time on the beach, in the ocean, in the pools and also visiting a few fun places (underground caves and the worlds largest aquarium where we were able to snorkel and swim all day).  We had a great trip and now I am so thankful to be home and on American soil again. Yay USA!!  The kids are already trying to plan our next vacation.... I think next time we will stay in the USA while we have 2 young kids, then maybe in 2016 we will head to Italy (that's my vote, anyway).   Hopefully we will be able to have the kids continue to save their money and we can continue traveling, we created a ton of great memories that will last a life time (Gloria discovered that you go FASTER if you walk, and Gray discovered the days of the week.... LOL)!   It was a great vacation and I will post more details when I get a few more minutes.
