This year for Travis's birthday we had some friends come over for dinner and swimming. We also had a pinata- the kids loved it!! It was a nice, relaxing evening spent with our friends. Happy birthday to my best friend!

make up, hair, eyebrows..... my pre-teen daughter
Gloria is turning 12 in September. So, while we were in Utah, we took the opportunity to go shopping with Aunt Ilesha so she could help Gloria with her makeup. It was a fun day of shopping and girls! Gloria got a haircut and waxed her eyebrows for the first time. It was fun to watch. Good times!

Sunday, Annie's Blessing
On Sunday, we were able to give Annie a name and a blessing.... she was able to wear the dress that all my daughters have worn on their blessing days, the dress that I wore on my blessing day, that her aunts and cousins all wore. It was such a sweet blessing and a perfect day. She was blessed in Utah at my parents home (this is how we blessed all our kids) with family surrounding her and loving her. Aunt Ilesha did her hair (of course) and Grandma and Grandpa fixed the food. It was a wonderful day and I am so thankful for my little girl. Later that night I took Travis to the airport and from there, I braved the kids with just Aspen by my side. It all worked out well and the kids enjoyed the extra time with cousins.
Saturday, Timpanogos
Saturday morning we woke up early and went to our niece, BayLee's, parade. There was so much candy, it was insane!! The kids came home with more candy than what they get on Halloween. They loved it and had a great time. BayLee got a hurt leg so she had to ride on the float in the parade... but it was fun to see her in the parade even if she was not cheering with her squad!
After the parade we came home and packed up to go to Timpanogos Cave. I haven't done that since I was a kid. It was awesome. I loved going there, and so did the kids. It was a steep hike- but it was worth it. Max is obsessed with dinosaurs, so he kept pointing at everything in the cave and saying things like "OOOH! Dino egg!" or "Look! Dino tail!" and at one point when it was nice and quiet he yelled so everyone could hear.... "Wow! A dino bum!!". Everyone laughed at that. It was fun fun fun.
We took everyone home and then Travis put the kids to bed while I went grocery shopping for food for Annies blessing that was going to take place on Sunday. It was an exhausting day, but a good day!
