Everything is going well

When we were in Utah last November, my very talented sister in lay snapped this picture of us while we were at the Grand America.  I just love how my family looks so perfect with our handsome little Max. We have had some struggles ensuring that Max gets to stay with our family, but things are starting to look up. Our ICWA specialist is so sweet and kind and cares about Max. We get to hear her official recommendation on March 7th, in court, but she has given me every assurance that she feels it is best for Max to stay in our home. Also, the county has decided to turn our case over to a private agency, giving them 3 months to complete everything. So, I try really hard to not get my hopes up that everything will run smoothly from this point on, but at this point, things are going really well. We will keep praying that nothing else gets in the way of our speedy adoption of our wonderful little boy. All of our kids are such a blessing. We are very thankful every day for the blessing that we call "family".

We were just in Utah last week visiting family. We had a wonderful time. It was super crazy and busy. Travis actually went with his nephew to Texas while the kids and I were in Utah. Luckily I have a ton of family and they all are so willing to help out with the kids, let us stay in their homes, feed us and entertain us. We are very lucky to have such great relationships with our family.  While we were in Utah, we went to visit Travis's mom, Gloria. She has been staying in a "care facility". She has not been in the best of health, lately. However, we thought she was getting better. But as we stopped by to say goodbye, on our way back to California, she took a turn for the worse and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. We decided to stay for a bit longer in Utah, while Travis went with his mom to the hospital. We were very worried and scared. She ended up having pneumonia,  kidney malfunction, and a slew of other problems!! They admitted her to the hospital for a few days and now she has returned to the care facility.  We are so thankful that she is doing well.
Also, while we were in Utah, my cousin- who lives with my mom- was baptized and her baby was given a name and a blessing. We also celebrated our cousins, Cozy and Shelly's, birthday's with a princess ball. We also visited the Church History Museum.... a totally fun experience, and we were also able to attend my cousin's baby shower. It was a really packed trip, but we had a blast and can't wait to do it again next month!!!
