This past month we went on a trip to Tahoe! When we scheduled the trip we were excited to spend some time on the slopes and renting snowmobiles. However, this year there was NO SNOW! Granted, there was a ski resort that was open that was making their own snow. But after reading reviews about how ice and hard and thin it was, we decided it was not worth the risk of getting hurt and so we looked for other options! The first day was Jessica's birthday. We got into Tahoe around noon and found the house we rented. It was really nice with beautiful views of the Lake and surrounding area. We had a hot tub and a pool table and a lot of beautiful space. We spent some time relaxing and then we went out to dinner that night to celebrate Jessica's birthday. We had a lot of fun. Afterwards we went shopping to get supplies for the upcoming days and while we were there, the Geyers locked their keys in their car!! It was actually quite the adventure. While the boys tried to break into their car, we watched and cheered. After an hour with no success, we called a locksmith. It was then a race to see if they could break in before the locksmith got there. They didn't get in. The locksmith pulled up and broke into the car in under ONE MINUTE! The boys were impressed! They asked him all sorts of questions so that they could try to pick up some of his skills! In the end, it cost $100 to have the locksmith come, but the nights entertainment was GREAT!! We had some fun in that parking lot!
The next day we woke up and did some pilates, Jake cooked breakfast and we went to go play some frisbee golf. We did some shopping, the boys got massages and we did a whole lot of relaxing (and playing games). Even though there was not a whole lot to do, we had a great time and look forward to making it an annual trip!
