The Kendall Clan

We had a fantastic friend come and take some photo's of our family at our home this month. She came by in the evening and we were able to get a few good shots. The kids are all so easy going, and easy to bribe, so for the most part, the event went smoothly. The only MAJOR problem that we had (besides we were all half asleep from a super hectic day) was that our 2 kittens kept wandering around us. You might not think of that as a big deal, but to my kids, it was!! They all wanted to hold the kitty's. Insisting that the kitty's needed hugs and loves. And shouldn't they be in the picture? They are part of the family, they reminded us a few hundred times! At this point of the story you might be thinking that we should have just shoved the kitty's in the house and got on with the pictures. However, the thing that stopped us from doing just such a rational thing is this; Livvee. She was DEAD TIRED! Livvee loves to sleep. She is my only child that tells me it is time to go to bed. When we tell her it is nap time or bed time she gets so excited and immediately tells anyone who is near her- "Night-Night" and heads for bed. So, at 7:30 that night, she was long over due for bed and wanted to sleep. Needless to say, she was a little crabby. The only thing that got her to smile at all was the kittens. She would hold them til it was time for a shot, we would put them down and Roxy would quickly snap a few shots. All the while we reassured Livvee that she could hold the kitty's again after she smiled. So, the kittens were under the photographers feet during each shot, and the older kids kept calling for the kitty's to come to them and insisting that they were included in the picture taking, and Livvee was ornery and the only thing that pacified her was our cute little kitty's. It was quite an event. But the results were well worth it!!! Enjoy my cute little kiddy's!!

You have such a nice family! Taking pictures is so hard with kids. It seems almost impossible to get a perfect shot. These turned well, though. Looks beautiful there.
