Mayan Ruins

We got to our first stop in Mexico. We didn't have a tour booked, yet. So we scouted around and found a guy who was willing to give us a good deal. We gave him our money and he told us to sit on a bench. We sat. We waited. And waited. And waited. We finally started to worry that we would be sitting on the bench all day, when a bus showed up! So, we got a good deal and we got to go to the ruins- hurray!
Travis and I slept the whole 90 minute trip to the ruins. We did a lot of sleeping on this trip. It was needed.
When we got the the ruins, they were magnificent. Our tour guide was so great and knowledgeable. He put up with us reasonably well, even though we were asking a lot of questions and taking a lot of pictures and we were running very late and thought we might miss the bus back to the boat. But it was a sight worth seeing.
